James C. Stewart, Chief Executive Officer


James Stewart is the Chief Executive Officer of MGM Growth Properties LLC (NYSE: MGP). Mr. Stewart was the Company’s first employee and spearheaded the Company’s highly successful $1.2 billion initial public offering in April 2016. This represented the year’s first IPO over $1 billion, the largest triple-net REIT IPO and the third largest REIT IPO of all time at completion. MGP was subsequently honored to receive the International Financing Review magazine's 2016 U.S. IPO of the Year award by Thomson Reuters.

Mr. Stewart has more than 20 years of experience focused on Gaming, Lodging and Leisure. Prior to MGP, Mr. Stewart served as a Managing Director at Greenhill & Co., Inc. where he founded their Los Angeles Office and focused on the Gaming, Lodging and Leisure sector as part of the global Real Estate effort.

Prior to Greenhill, Mr. Stewart was a Managing Director at UBS Investment Bank, where he served as Co-Head of the Los Angeles Office and was responsible for the Gaming and Leisure sector. Prior to that, Mr. Stewart was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley where he also focused on the firm’s Gaming and Leisure effort.

Mr. Stewart earned his Master of Business Administration with Distinction from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, where he was named an Amos Tuck Scholar, and his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary.

Andy H. Chien, Chief Financial Officer


Andy has more than a decade of investment banking experience in real estate, gaming, lodging and leisure, and has executed more than $50 billion of strategic transactions. Andy has significant expertise in strategic, financial and operational analysis across debt, equity and mergers and acquisitions for REITs and gaming, lodging and leisure companies. Prior to Greenhill & Co., Andy was a director at UBS Investment Bank in Los Angeles, focused on real estate, gaming, lodging and leisure. His previous experience also includes various roles at Citigroup/Salomon Brothers, Commerce One and Intel Corporation.

Andy earned his Master of Business Administration with Honors from the Anderson School at UCLA, and his Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, from the University of Michigan.
